Guests who utilize private aviation can fly in a wheeled aircraft to our local airport (a 90-minute ground transfer from Siwash Lake), or by floatplane when good weather is guaranteed (a 20-minute ground transfer from Siwash Lake).

Ranch Setting & Location


Siwash Lake is situated off-grid in the heart of British Columbia's Cariboo region. Perched 3,600 feet above sea level, it sits high atop a vast plateau that stretches from BC's coastal mountains to the Canadian Rockies. Our nearby 'foothills' are actually a local range, the Marble mountains, with 7,500-ft summits!

The heart of the ranch is our private 300-acre homestead — a verdant oasis overlooking the serene Siwash Lake and surrounded by wild hay meadows.

Our home ranch is flanked by our 10,000 acre guiding territory, which is completely uninhabited by people. Grasslands roll gently between rugged canyons, where cowboys still tend to cattle on horseback and where swathes of pink fireweed flowers — so tall they brush your stirrups — make for vibrant days in the saddle.

Our beautiful, regenerating landscape has patches of burnt, ebony forests interlaced with swathes of young aspen groves, and is adorned with numerous secluded lakes and two meandering rivers. These are the wild and remote ranchlands of BC's southern interior.

Siwash Lake Ground Transfer Package

Airport shuttle service between Siwash Lake and Kamloops (YKA) for guests who book the 'Find Your Wild' package is available à la carte for an additional cost. Guests book themselves on a 60-minute, early-afternoon flight with Air Canada or West Jet from Vancouver (YVR) or Calgary (YYC), to Kamloops (YKA), where our shuttle service partners will be waiting and ready to welcome them.

This private shuttle service will bring you to our off-the-grid, private hideaway via a scenic drive through the heart of Canadian cowboy country. Total drive time is 2.5 hours.

For those with later arriving or departing  international flights at YVR, the 5-star Fairmont Airport Hotel is situated inside the main terminal.

Canadian Rocky Mountains Road Trip

Siwash Lake is located along the famous western Canadian 'Rainforest to Rockies' road trip.  Every summer, visitors travel to western Canada and embark on this incredible journey.

Begin driving from Calgary to Banff and Jasper, then Vancouver, or Vancouver to Banff and Jasper, ending in Calgary. Either way, Siwash Lake is halfway between the Pacific Coast in British Columbia and the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Alberta.

Another great drive is the 'Great Bear Rainforest' circle route within British Columbia to encompass Vancouver Island, enjoying luxury accommodations and adventure at Siwash Lake on this route as well.

We assist guests or their agents who arrange their private wheeled aircraft charters to/from Vancouver, YVR South Terminal, Tofino (Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge), and other coastal destinations like Port Hardy (Nimmo Bay), or Campbell River (Sonora Resort).

Wheeled planes land at our local airport CZML (5200 ft. maintained landing strip) with private VIP ground transfers provided from edge of runway by Siwash Lake, à la carte (a 90-minute drive).
